"The Maple Valley Idol Jr program is sponsored by the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council. This fun community program has been supporting talented local kids ages 7-15 for almost a decade. Each spring twenty contestants perform in front of three professional judges. The judges then narrow down the twenty contestants to twelve finalists. The finalists compete for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and People Choice awards. We invite everyone to join us for our virtual fall benefit, "Mask-R-ade" November 4-7th, which will feature many of our talented finalists:

"Big Mischief is a big band founded and led by trumpeter Jason Garcia. It’s namesake was inspired by Jason’s 4 year old son who loves to tinker with things to figure out how they work. Big Mischief’s playful nature is evident in its enjoyment of performing a wide variety of jazz styles. Many of these come in the form of exciting, original arrangements written by the band’s composer and 3rd trumpeter, Brent Irwin. It can perform with as many as 17 pieces, but is usually a 10 piece group. The smaller size can pack a powerful punch; a credit to the skill and experience of its musicians. It’s members are from the Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia area and have decades of experience with careers in music education, freelancing, and U.S. military bands. The band has enjoyed collaborating with numerous exceptionally talented vocalists"

"Stanley Alleyne started playing Steel Drums at a young age in his native island of Tobago. While in Tobago he played with The Our Boys Steel Band. He moved to Seattle in 1976 where he played with Tropical Rainstorm, Caribbean Superstars and The Islanders. Since living in Seattle he has played in the Northwest, Oregon, California and Canada. He is one of the Northwest’s premier steel drum soloists. He has played for Microsoft, Amazon, Everett Golf and Country Club, Sandpoint Golf and Country Club and many other companies, events and organizations. Stanley plays a wide variety of musical styles calypso, reggae, soca, oldies, salsa, pop, jazz and more. He is available for parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, concerts, fairs, special events or just about any other gathering of people. He is also available for bookings internationally"

Currently I’ve been playing the Coffeehouse and open air venues in the Seattle/Bellevue/Issaquah areas over the past 12 years.
I like to say that “I play the songs I grew up with”— Gary Benson… ‘Music from the Heart’!"

"The Muddy String Band plays an eclectic blend of Bluegrass standards along with some popular and some little known old-time Folk and American music from the early 1900’s through the 1960’s, with a little Grateful Dead and Rolling Stones just to mix things up. They perform a selection of songs not typically heard in the Pacific Northwest that will make you clap your hands, stomp your feet and sing along to feel-good tunes"

"The E.W. Buck Quintet is a Maple Valley based jazz combo, first started in the fall of 2017 by five jazz-loving friends. The quintet is comprised of Ethan Buck on alto saxophone, Cole McKittrick on guitar, Ethan Andrew on piano and keyboards, Robby Potterf on upright and electric bass, and Ammon Thompson on drums. The band plays many different styles of jazz, ranging from classic bebop standards, early swing hits, smooth jazz, and even delves into funk music. The E.W. Buck Quintet has played numerous gigs around the Maple Valley area"

He has performed at the Auburn Wine & Caviar Co., the Station Bistro Restaurant in Auburn and 7 years at the Auburn International Farmers Market. He specializes in “Golden Oldies”. From The Beatles to Buffet, Elvis to The Eagles and over 100 other artists’ songs as well as his own compositions. His music will take you back to some of your fondest memories"

"Staircase To Love is the music duo of Joe Scalone and Dannie McKeown, from the Seattle area performing a wide variety of songs in several genres, including classic rock, folk and country. Some representative covers are from the Eagles, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. Joe Scalone is a guitar player, singer and songwriter from Bellevue Washington. Lucia loves to get involved with the community and is proud to have recently performed her original songs at the first Seattle TedxYouth event this past October and at the 19th annual More Music at the Moore in March!
