Welcome to the 2020 Season of the Maple Valley Farmers’ Market (scroll to the bottom for the online application link)
The 2020 Season is every Saturday from July 11 through September 26. This is our 12th year and we are very excited to be in our NEW location at the Legacy Site. The City of Maple Valley is working very hard to have our space ready for the upcoming season and we appreciate their support.
We will be open RAIN or SHINE 9:00 am – 2:00 pm! Gates are open for vendors at 7 am. Vendors must arrive by 8:00 am and must be set up by 8:30am. Vendor vehicles must be in designated vendor parking by 8:30 am and must be clear the market area by 8:30 am. In consideration of other vendors, there will be no take downs or departures before 2:00 pm. No vehicles will be allowed in the market area until 2:10 pm or until customers have vacated premises. Loadout must be completed by 3 pm. Keep your booth in place please, and if you’re finished for the day, meet and talk with customers, vendors, and market staff.
Please be sure you fill out which dates you intend to be at the market. Choose ALL of the dates that you would like to be at the market. You may be approved for the market but will not be made active (and show as a vendor on the website) until dates are selected and initial payment is made.
Farmers are our emphasis and we limit artisan/crafters/non-profits/other stalls proportionately to the number of active farmers. As with all farmers’ markets we accentuate and encourage vendors that make it, bake it, or grow it. Vendors must not be selling imported or secondhand items and must not be franchises. Please select all possible dates you are planning to attend our market. It is very important that you only sign up for dates that you are willing to commit to, as our stall space is very limited.
Fees and Charges:
Booth fees are paid in advance and collected at the end of each market day for your next scheduled Saturday, if you have not already paid. We understand circumstances can arise necessitating changes and ask that you make changes by noon on the preceding Friday of your scheduled Saturday. This gives us a half a day to fill your booth position and make changes accordingly.
Membership Application Fee – $30 Due to process your Application and list you on our website for a year.
There is a jury process to review market participants and vendors are only fully approved when application fee and first booth fee is paid.
You must supply your own canopy (10×10 only unless you are requesting two booth spaces), tables, chairs, and weights (weights are required). There is a one day rental charge of $20 for each 10 X 10 canopy, $5 for each chair, $10 for each 2 X 6 table, and $10 for four weights and cords, if the market has them available. Please make sure you have everything you need as these rentals are in limited number and are rented upon email request each week, first come, first served basis.
Farmers – $30 each Saturday Each farmer may have up to 2 adjoining booths at half price, subject to availability and approval by the Market Manager.
Food Processors – $40 each Saturday Each processor may have an additional booth at half price, subject to availability and approval by the Market Manager.
Artisans – Essential products only* ($40 each Saturday)
NOTE: In order to maintain the required ratio of farmers to artisans/resellers, we allow a limited number of Artisans and Resellers per market day and market stall spaces fill up very quickly. *Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, only artisans making and selling cleaning/sanitation supplies are approved for the 2020 Market season.
The applicant will give their permission to be photographed while at the market and have their image used in any Maple Valley Farmers Market publications.
